Mid-Season Discussion

Thoughts on the first half of the season? Ideas on what needs to be changed? What do you think of the first tie of the year? Please comment?

Here's an idea... if one of your starters wins that week's tourney, you should get three additional strokes taken off your score. What do you think?

  • I'm not sure about 3 strokes but I think a bonus (perhaps 1 stroke) for picking the winner is appropriate. Of course, make this effective for the 2nd half (not retroactive like the recently passed expatriate tax increase).

    Also, how to resolve ties (like what happened this week)? Or do you just let them be?

  • How about retaining several of your players from this year as a foundation for next year?

    The idea would be to have the other owners decide on two (or three) players on each team that could not be declared "keepers" and then have each owner tag two (or three) of their remaining players as "keepers" to start their team with next year.

    What do you think? It adds some continuity from year to year. The number exempt and the number of keepers could be adjusted either way... I'm interested in your thoughts on the idea.
