2012 Anyone?

How about it? Are we going to play next year or should this blog be renamed Phaketasy Golf League? Will wait to hear back from Jim Storer as he's the organizer.

Let's get this game rolling

2011 is upon us and the golf season is beginning. Are we keeping this blog as our update site? What say you Jim Storer?

And when is our party/draft?

Let me/us know!

How about payment?

Dateline December 9, 2008:

Aaron and Jeff sit by the mailbox day after day to see if Jim has sent them money. It fails to arrive. How will Jeff and Aaron survive? How might they buy drinks for the rest of the phantasy golf crew? Is Jim spending the cash on massages?

Just some random questions while Aaron and Jeff wait patiently.

Week #21 Results

The regular season wrapped up this week in Boston at the Deutsche Bank Championship.

Babe beat Jim 138-102
Jeff beat Rick 100-78
Aaron beat Hugh 96-92
Geo beat David 132-72

The seeds for the postseason are as follows:

#1 - Aaron
#2 - Jeff
#3 - Geo
#4 - Jim

Aaron plays Jim and Jeff plays Geo in the semis this weekend. It's a short week, so get cracking.

I'll summarize the year and all the winnings following the playoffs.

Week #20 Results

We sorted out a lot in week #20... it looks like we have our four playoff teams and we're just clearing up the seeds in week #21. But I'm getting ahead of myself...

Jim beat Rick 140-98
... Rick left Sergio riding the pine over the weekend and it spelled doom for his playoff hopes. Maybe next year.
Jeff beat Babe 118-90... Jeff secured his spot in the playoffs with a tight win over Babe, who left Vijay on the bench, sending the PGL Competition Committee into session over possible collusion.
Geo beat Aaron 144-132... Geo made some Sunday moves that pushed him over the top and all but insured him a spot in the post-season.
David beat Hugh 132-112... Too little too late for David. He'll need a lot of help to sneak into the playoffs.

Aaron will either be the #1 or #2 seed in the playoffs. If he and Jeff both win they'll be #1 and #2, respectively. If either/both of them lose it gets really interesting (if either/both Geo and I win).

One request to David, Hugh, Rick and Babe... PLEASE do not mail it in. By coincidence, all of you are playing a playoff contender this week, so you'll have a major impact on the final seeds.

Thanks all and good luck in the final week!
