The Open Championship
Week #9 Results
Game of the Week
Jeff destroys Jim... -1 to 0
Jeff played the spoiler, keeping me from a 1st round bye and picking up a win for having the low score of the week. Padraig's win was the difference, giving him the 3 points he needed to pull off the win.
Other Games:
David took care of Rick... 30 to 34
Aaron outlasted Jeremy... 37 to 40
Babe snuck by Andy... 27 to 28
George beat Hugh... 9 to 25
This is the end of the regular season. See the next post for details on seeds for the playoffs and this week's matches.
====================================
There's a lot of drama going on for the final game of the regular season...
David vs Rick - The winner of this game is in the playoffs. The loser needs some help (both Jeremy AND Hugh need to lose).
Jeremy vs Aaron - Jeremy needs to win and then get some help (he needs Hugh AND Rick to lose badly). Aaron's playing for his seed in the playoffs.
Babe vs Andy - Andy's playing for pride and Babe's playing for the #1 seed and a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
Jeff vs Jim - Jeff's playing for pride and I'm playing for a top seed and possibly a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
Hugh vs George - Hugh needs a win to guarantee a spot in the playoffs and George is playing for a top seed and possibly a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
The 156-player field for the 2007 Open Championship is almost complete. The remaining spots will be filled on Sunday at the conclusion of the Barclays Scottish Open and the John Deere Classic. Be careful to set your lineup after the final additions are made to the field.

I am going to be "going off the grid" this coming weekend in Island Pond, VT. I most likely won't come back up for air until sometime on Tuesday. I'll sort out the playoff seedings on Tuesday night and ask you all to submit line-ups on Wednesday for the first round of the playoffs. Good luck in The Open.
