AT&T Classic (aka the Bell South Classic)
5/22 Update:
It was a wild one in Atlanta. Owners were lucky if they could field a full team, most had fewer and one had only one player going (Jeff). In any event, here are the results:
Game of the Week:
Jeremy kiwi'd Hugh (-20 t0 -6)
One Day Ahead is starting to show some spunk as we turn the corner into the stretch run. They knocked a strong Desert King squad on their @ss and made a case for the post-season. Shrewd management was the difference maker, with recent pickups Briny Baird, Richard Johnson and Brian Davis providing the knockout punch.
Other Games:
David beat Andy (-17 to -5)
Jim manhandled Babe (-32 to -19)
Aaron TROUNCED Jeff (7 to 10)
George kicked sand in Rick's face (-17 to 5)
As we near the playoffs, only Andy looks to be a long shot. Everyone else is within striking distance, with David clearly the class of the field at this point.
Add/Drop:
I was the only person who submitted this week.
Add - Bob Estes
Drop - Miguel Jiminez
Enjoy the week off!
---------------------------------
Take a close look at the field for this week's event. You might need to add players to field five. Use the comments to trash talk, add your line-ups, etc.
Match-ups:
Andy vs David
Jim vs Babe
Aaron vs Jeff
Rick vs George
Hugh vs Jeremy

George,
I posted my team before I had the results. I guess I was hoping no one noticed that Peter Lonard had never been picked.
Take Peter Lonard off my team. I am only starting two players this week.
Later,
Rick

Hey Guys.
Sorry about the dirth of players this week. When I planned the schedule this looked like a good tourney based on the field last year. The other one that caught me by surprise was the Wachovia, which last year had a terrible field. Anyhow, glad to see you're fielding strong teams and Peter Lonard was on my team two weeks ago.
Good times!

It was a bit anti-climatic as it was over before the weekend...all of Rick's team missed the cut. Lonard was a non-factor as he also missed the cut. Final Score:
Rick: +5
George: -17

I only started one guy to give Aaron a chance. And now he's all trashy-trash talker. Well, we'll see what happens when I meet him again.
