Buick Open
Buick Open Results:
Game of the Week:
Jeremy throttled Jeff (-41 to -37)
This one came down to wire and with it Jeremy puts himself in position to claim the final playoff spot. Jeff falls to last place and needs a miracle to land in the winner's bracket for the post-season.
Other games:
Jim beat David (-43 to -34)
Babe pounded Hugh (-38 to -3)
Aaron outlasted George (-34 to -21)
Andy surprised Rick (-27 to -12)
We have a couple of weeks off to prepare for the Open Championship. If you want to get a jump on deciding your line-up, take a look at the field (it should be finalized in the next couple of days). I'll have a new post up in the next week of so for the final game of the regular season. There are a lot of scenarios in play, so get ready for a wild finish!!
Reminder on Playoff Format...
The final rankings will be determined at the end of week nine and six teams will make the playoffs. The top two teams will receive a bye for the first round of the playoffs. In the first round, the #3 team will play the #6 team and the #4 plays #5. In week two of the playoffs, #1 plays the lowest remaining seed and #2 plays the highest remaining seed. In the final week, the two winners from the previous week play (to determine 1st and 2nd place) and the two losers from the previous week play (to determine 3rd place).
To determine The Best Loser, the #7 team plays the #10 team and the #8 team plays the #9 team in week one of the playoffs. The winners will then match up against the losers from 1st round of the "real" playoffs during week two of the playoffs. The two winners will then play one another during the final week of the playoffs for The Best Loser title and a cool $70.
